Simply Nicollette reviews - books, movies, television shows, etc. with slight spoilers. I try my best to review without giving away too much of the story.
Me Before You by Jojo Moyes
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
This book ruined me. It made me smile and laugh, and it made me angry and cry - legit tears at the end. I somehow loved every minute of it though.

I haven't related to a character as much as I related to Lou in a long time. Here she is, a grown woman, who is perfectly okay with her simple life which she believes is the best it's ever going to be. Then she is pulled into Will's life due to the fact that she needs to provide for her family. These two characters mean so much to me after reading this book, and I can't help but love their story.
Their story is so much more than your regular romance. It was beautiful and inspiring in many ways. It felt real, and their moments together didn't come off as cheesy or forced, everything was just perfect.
I found a little bit of myself through Lou's story and the people around her, especially Will. I didn't expect this book to leave such a mark on my heart, but it did and I'm really grateful even though there were many tears shed. It was beautifully written, and told honestly through these characters' points of views.
Overall, I loved this book. I'm not sure if I'm going to read the second book just because I really liked how this one ended and I don't think I have to know just exactly how Lou is doing. I am really looking forward to seeing the movie though! If you liked 'The Fault in Our Stars' by John Green, then you'll love this book more. I would recommend anyone who enjoys contemporaries or romance stories, or anyone for that matter, to just pick this book up and read it!
"Just live well.
P.S - I know I probably didn't make a lot of sense in my review.. I'm still recovering from reading this book, but know that I loved it very much and I hope if you decide to read it that you'll love it also!
